As a Lead Speech-Language Pathologist, you will complete evaluations for young children between 0-3 years old who may have developmental delays and support the program through training and mentorship of other staff. Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
Communicates with assessment partner and family to confirm appointment.
Completes Infant and Toddler Developmental Assessment and intake paperwork.
Completes Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale as necessary.
Completes M-CHAT review if autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is suspected.
Reviews SDRC materials with family during assessment.
Obtains and reviews vision/hearing screening forms.
Develops report with a descriptive summary of the child's developmental competencies that include a performance age range.
Assists in developing relevant portions of Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Prepares and completes the Provence Profile (IDA) and all intake forms for submission to supervisor within 72 hours of IDA completion.
Maintains an IDA kit and assessment materials.
Travels throughout assigned county (San Diego or Imperial) to complete assessments in family homes and other community locations.
Assists with training employees on policies, procedures, and assessment curriculum.
Completes Quality Assurance evaluations consisting of staff observations and identification of ongoing training needs.
Designs in-services and consults with staff as Lead Speech-Language Pathology expert.
Reviews, tracks, and provides feedback on the written IFSP reports/collateral of IDA staff.
