Land Surveying Manager
Connecticut - Stamford, Greenwich, Riverside
Job Description
*Lead engaged staff in the preparation, reconnaissance, and delivery of land surveys. *Oversee the surveying business development and operations of the firm.
*Manage the development of high-quality proposals, land surveying metrics, and organized reporting methods.
*Collaborate with the heads of all business divisions regarding operations, business development, and strategic planning.
*Manage existing clients, evaluate company surveying goals, and lead cross-functional teams. Manage survey records, parcel maps, and final maps filed with Town, County, and State.
*Review all fieldwork for accuracy and conformity to accepted land surveying practices and other legal requirements.
*Analyze land, cadastral, geodetic surveys, and right of way maps.
*Evaluate survey control and geodetic field data; assist in the development and maintenance of a surveying database.
*Review surveying work for conformity to planning and zoning regulations and accepted Land Surveying practices; certify that all conditions of approval and other legal requirements have been met.
*Interact with clients, governmental agencies, title insurance entities, and land developers on matters affecting our work, legal access, real property rights, and perpetuation of survey monuments.
Requirements
Working in a Land Surveying Supervisory role 2+ years.
Must be fine with site walk environments
**Physical: Occasional walking, standing, bending, and squatting; requires fine manipulation in both hands. Continuously reaches above and below the shoulder level. Occasionally work near equipment and machinery on rough, uneven, rocky, or slippery surfaces. Occasionally exposed to dust, gas, construction materials, noise, and extremes in temperature and humidity.
