Details:

The Safety Coordinator/NWSA Practical Examiner is responsible for supporting and enforcing the safety program from the field level. As such, this requires an individual with a unique skill set: tower climbing experience, the ability to interact with field level employees and conduct regular inspections and safety meetings. This position works closely with the Safety Program Manager and Operations to ensure corporate compliance with OSHA regulations as well as Vinculums' Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and Fleet Operations. The Coordinator/Examiner will develop relationships with Operational field technicians, managers and directors and must also work with Purchasing and Human Resources to ensure employees are aware of safety rules and have the training and equipment to be effective and compliant. The Coordinator/Examiner must have excellent communication, follow-through and diplomacy and must have excellent skills at addressing conflict in a constructive manner. This position may require travel up to 75% of the time to ensure regular, random and unpredictable site visits. The individual must be well versed in construction, electrical and telecommunications site safety compliance, become a certified NWSA practical examiner and must have a proven track record in teaching, training, site auditing and enforcing accountability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop a safety communications strategy to include meeting facilitation/tracking, onsite meetings and general safety communication and announcements -Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals -Perform a variety of tasks, and work under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required -Outline and implement training programs about employee safety procedures and accident protection and prevention -Review and distribute educational materials, inspect company facilities, and recommend corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance with established regulations -Facilitate, participate and maintain a record of safety meetings -Develop job site assessments and track completion per job/manager -Obtain NWSA Practical Examiner certification and train tower employees in all regions -Conduct onsite accident investigations -Oversee and at times perform PPE inspections and maintain records -Inspect materials, parts and products at various stages of construction/completion -Record observations and make recommendations for improving processes -Assist in reviewing operational MOPs, Controlled Descent Plans etc. -Have knowledge of DOT/Fleet Regulations
