DC Power Technician (Critical Power)

Overview

As a DC Power Technician in critical and back up power solutions, you will help ensure that facilities have consistent electrical power. Our client performs repairs, maintenance and replacements on Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) and generators. Our client's end users include large Data Centers, Chemical Plants, Refineries, Banking Institutions, Government and Federal Facilities, Accounting Firms, etc....These companies depend on our client to keep their power equipment and resources running proficiently and reliably.

Job Description

Responsible for inspecting, maintaining, installing of DC Power, UPS Power, batteries, generators, etc...Can conduct basic troubleshooting, replacement of battery systems, and assist with the demands of customer projects. 

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Knowledge and hands on experience with DC Power
3. Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) experience is plus.
4. Knowledge of battery testing, installation and maintenance. 
5. Knowledge of power supply, chargers, cabinets, bays, cabling, load capacity and battery systems. 
6. Ability to read and understand basic layout drawings and schematics is a plus
7. Interpersonal skills - Will be a client facing role on occasion
8. Must have a valid DL and be 21 years of age and have a clean driving record. 
9. Certain customers that may require additional background screening and testing. Must be willing to agree to that. 
10. Must be willing to travel the entire state of Kentucky.
11. Must be willing to travel to projects that require overnight stay.
12. Capable of lifting 70+ pounds.
