Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform work on towers and rooftops (working at height - in some cases above 500’ AGL) including line and antenna installation, grounding/electrical tasks, microwave path alignments and troubleshooting Safely operate all supporting equipment, including vehicles and rigging tools and report any deficiencies Participate in On-the-job training (OJT) with team members and other subcontractors Understand and adhere to Scope of Work and Method of Procedure documents as defined by the company, suggest improvements when applicable Assist in project budgeting, bidding to external contractors, hardware procurement & logistics and project closeout Report on and update job progress and provide daily reporting as required Monitor/review closeout documentation, keep site documentation up to date and ensure consistent quality standard across all sites, suggest/implement improvements to Scope of Work when applicable Respond quickly and effectively to resolve all trouble tickets raised by the Network Services and Operations team within applicable policies, standards and SLA timeframes Accurately set timeline expectations around completion of projects and tasks Participate in regular full network auditing plans to ensure operating standards are being upheld Keep team lead well-informed about operational and maintenance issues associated with sites
Job Requirements
Details:
Minimum 3 year of telecom tower climbing experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) • Valid Driver’s License • ComTrain certificate (required) • Computer Literacy (required for positions that involve the use of a computer) • Strong written and oral communication skills • Ability to work effectively in a team environment • Experience using the Sunsight Alignment tool • Experience performing transmission line and antenna systems installation to include 4G component installation, RRH’s etc. • Experience with repairs and replacing defective equipment
REQUIRED • TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL • Willingness to travel and work in all locations for extended periods of time. • Tower Climber/Fall Protection/ Rescuer Certification or equivalent certification (Comtrain) • Ability to climb heights in excess of 400 feet • Ability to read & comprehend Construction Drawings • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Organized with a strong attention to detail • Self-starter, team player, results oriented • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to be insurable and able to operate a company vehicle. • All candidates must be able to pass the following to be considered for job placement: • Pre-employment Drug Screening • Criminal Background Check
