The Business Intelligence Analyst will use data analysis and modeling to provide insights and recommendations to company leaders and project managers to improve processes, productivity and profitability. Business Intelligence Analyst will support project teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. Using large data sets will find opportunities for process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.
Work directly with company leadership to understand organizational goals and objectives
Extract and analyze large amounts of organizational data from company enterprise systems and external sources
Recommend and implement data modeling software
Conduct data modeling and visualizations that show the status of projects within the organization
Create predictive models for new and existing projects to reduce risk and increase productivity/profitability
Produce reports that identify trends or provide actionable forecast models to leadership to improve overall business practices and profitability
Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data
Determine validity of data and recommend process improvements in data collection
Educate stakeholders in understanding the uses of business intelligence in the organization
Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.
Mine and analyze data from databases to drive optimization and improvement.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation and other business outcomes.
Develop testing framework and test model quality.
Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

Bachelors degree in Data Science, computer science or information systems
At least 4 years Telecom industry experience
Ability to query SQL or other structured programming languages
Model and analyze data, and recommend courses of action based on data analysis
Understanding of project management and general business practices
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills
Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
Experience working with and creating data architectures.
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
Proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights.
Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.
Demonstrate a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets to improve business outcomes.
Microsofts Certified Solutions Expert in business intelligence
Work schedule is Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel to client meetings and Vinculums offices as needed.
