Position: A&E Project Manager
 
Job Summary:
Responsible for facilitating projects from an assigned region through the production process and ensuring quality deliverables are produced in accordance to client specifications and deadlines.
 
Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities):
  1. Project Information – Review scoping and provided documentation for all projects to ensure that all requisite information is available for drafting production; research and acquire missing information from appropriate entities including clients and program managers
  2. Project Planning – Budget production hours for project tasks and create timelines for whole projects; coordinate plans and deadlines with production management
  3. Production Coordination – Coordinate with production and program management throughout project lifecycles to ensure effective scheduling in-line with deadlines and customer expectations; preside over multiple projects at a time from various clients within a specific region
  4. Project Prototypes – Determine project-specific standards and details for drawings, collaborate with production team to develop and implement project-specific prototypes to expedite drafting production
  5. Quality Control – Review drawings to ensure all required technical and design scoping aspects of the project are met, submit redlines to drafters as applicable
  6. Quality Assurance – Analyze drafting techniques, processes, and standards to ensure that best practices are being followed; ensure the release of only high-quality deliverables
  7. Deliverable Coordination – Present completed drawings to appropriate personnel for further review and/or delivery
  8. Training – Assess training needs through QC/QA processes and provide and/or assist with internal technical trainings to improve drafting techniques and practices
  9. Drafting Support – Provide technical and procedural support to drafters as necessary
  10. Relationship Management – Maintain and develop working relationships with regional clients
  11. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned
 

Required Qualifications:
 
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
Equivalent Education/Experience
 
  • Industry Knowledge – Exceptionally knowledgeable of the Wireless Telecommunications Construction Industry with an emphasis in jurisdictional requirements for construction drawings
  • Technical Skills – Exceptionally skilled in company approved computer drafting platform and drafting techniques
  • Detail Orientation – Proven ability to scrutinize details to find quality errors and infer causes
  • Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly provide constructive feedback, instruction, and training
  • Computer Skills – Adept in the use of personal computer software, including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and drafting programs
  • Decision Making – Adept at making design related decisions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
  • Certificate or Associate Degree in Drafting
    (required w/o engineering degree)
  • 8 years of experience in Drafting or Engineering required
  • 4 years of experience in a QC or management position required
  • 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
  • Certificate or Associate Degree in Drafting

  • 8 years of experience in Drafting or Engineering required
